Embark on a thrilling 12 day journey that takes you through the stunning landscapes of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit and the pristine beaches of Zanzibar. This trip offers a mix of wildlife safaris, cultural experiences, and beach relaxation, ensuring an unforgettable adventure. From the serene Materuni Waterfalls and hunter-gatherer tribes to the iconic Serengeti National Park and the sparkling shores of Zanzibar, this tour is a perfect blend of nature, culture, and adventure.
Itinerary
After a hearty breakfast, we will head to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. Once inside the park, you will enjoy a thrilling game drive for a few hours, looking for wildlife and other attractions. After the game drive, you’ll stop for a delightful lunch break under the shade of acacia trees or at a picnic site. Following lunch, we will continue the safari and exit the park in the late afternoon. We will then drive to Karatu for the night.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before heading to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. You will witness the park's rich diversity of wildlife and stunning landscapes. After exploring the park, we’ll have a lunch break by the hot spring picnic site. In the afternoon, you’ll return to Mto wa Mbu, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture, as the area is home to over 120 ethnic groups. You can take part in cultural tourism programs before enjoying dinner and an overnight.

After breakfast, we will head to Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last hunter-gatherer communities in Africa. You will join them on a hunting expedition early in the morning, followed by a break for lunch. In the afternoon, you will join the Hadzabe women in gathering roots, tubers, and fruits. The experience will be followed by a visit to the Datoga boma, where you’ll learn about their metalworking skills and how they’ve adapted to their environment. In the late afternoon, we’ll drive back to Mto wa Mbu for Overnight.

After breakfast, we will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most unique ecosystems. We’ll descend to the crater floor for a game drive, enjoying the chance to see a wide range of wildlife, including the Big Five. After a lunch at the Gnotobiotic picnic site, we will exit the crater and drive towards Ndutu in the southern Serengeti area, where you will stay at a Heritage Camp for the night.

After breakfast, we will head into the heart of the Serengeti for a game drive, focusing on the Ndutu Gate area as we make our way towards Seronera, the central part of the Serengeti. The whole day will be spent exploring the park’s vast plains and diverse wildlife. You’ll enjoy a lunch box on the go, and the game drive will continue in the afternoon before we head to the tented lodge.

Enjoy a full day in Serengeti National Park with both morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti is one of the best places in the world to witness the Great Migration (seasonal), as well as abundant predators and prey. After a lunch continue exploring the park and return to your camp or lodge in the late afternoon. You’ll also have the option to take a hot air balloon ride (additional cost) for a unique aerial view of the Serengeti.

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you’ll board a flight from Serengeti to Zanzibar. Once in Zanzibar, you’ll check into Tembo Hotel in Stone Town and enjoy a dinner. You’ll then take an evening stroll around Forodhani Garden and the food market, experiencing Zanzibar’s vibrant evening atmosphere.

After breakfast, you will set off for a boat ride to Nakupenda Island, spending the afternoon on the pristine beach. After returning, you’ll have the option to enjoy a delicious lunch either on the island or back in Stone Town. The rest of the day is yours to relax and explore.

Choose between visiting Jozani Forest National Park, known for its rich biodiversity and the Zanzibar red colobus monkeys, or take a trip to Prison Island to learn about the history of the island and its role as a former prison. You’ll also enjoy a spice tour, where you’ll discover the aromatic spices that Zanzibar is famous for. After the tour, enjoy lunch before heading back to Stone Town for the evening.

Today, you’ll head to Nungwi Beach, a stunning destination on the northern coast of Zanzibar. Spend the day relaxing on the beach or enjoying water sports. Your meals will be provided on-site, so you can enjoy the beach and the refreshing sea breeze.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a Safari Blue tour, which includes snorkeling, mangrove walks, and relaxing on a traditional dhow boat. Drinks and refreshments will be provided, and all snorkeling gear is included. It’s a perfect opportunity to explore the underwater beauty of Zanzibar.

Enjoy a Dolphin Tour at Mnemba Island, where you’ll have the chance to swim with wild dolphins and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters. Afterward, return to your hotel for the last afternoon in Zanzibar, enjoying the beach or the local sights.

After a relaxing breakfast, you’ll have some time to enjoy the beach before being transferred to the airport for your return flight or your next destination.
