Known for its ancient baobab trees and massive elephant herds, Tarangire offers incredible wildlife sightings and fewer crowds. After a thrilling game drive and a picnic lunch inside the park, you’ll continue to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu, a charming town nestled in the Ngorongoro Highlands. Here, you’ll spend the evening relaxing at a comfortable lodge, enjoying dinner, and preparing for the next day’s adventure.

After an early breakfast, you’ll head into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater one of Africa’s best places to see the Big Five in a single day. The crater floor is teeming with wildlife including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, hyenas, hippos, and flamingoes, all set against a backdrop of volcanic hills and acacia forests. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site within the crater, surrounded by nature. In the afternoon, you’ll ascend the crater and begin your return to Arusha. If you're returning to Zanzibar, your guide will transfer you to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport for your evening flight. If you're staying in Arusha, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
